Job news!

OK, I was waiting to get the official news on Greg's job before writing this last post - and then sending out an email with the link to our blog.

So the good news is that, last evening, Greg received the official job offer for a new job with his company! He is very excited about the challenge and it will be a good thing for both him and our family. It will require more traveling than he has done in the past, and it will be a challenge being away from the family, but we're up for the challenge! (And we'll see how it goes! Ask us in a couple of months :-) He was the Sales Operations Manager with Vitamix Corporation (they sell high-power household and commercial blenders), now he will be a Regional Sales Manager. He will be over sales demonstrators who demonstrate at Costco, Sam's Club, State Fairs, and other show venues. His region includes OH, MI, western PA, KY, WV, VA, DE, and MD. So at least his travel will be pretty close and it will be for 2-3 days at a time. Today he is off to Columbus for a couple of days (a trip for his current position) and then next week he is traveling to North Carolina. Then I think he will start traveling within his region to start setting up additional shows and hiring new sales demonstrators. Anyways, we are very excited! It is a wonderful opportunity and a huge step in the right direction - career-wise - for Greg.
