Easter baskets on Monday
We originally had planned to do Easter baskets on Saturday night, as we knew Sunday morning with church at 9:00 a.m. would be too hectic. Well, we went out to dinner, and on our way home Elizabeth fell asleep in the car. Then we got home too late on Sunday night to do it. So on Monday night we decided to have a little Family Home Evening about the purpose of Easter. Greg talked about Christ's Resurrection and about how it is a gift that He gave us. Then he talked about how we were going to share some gifts too. And then he brought down the Easter baskets. Later on Elizabeth said, "Mommy, Jesus and the Easter Bunny gave me some gifts on Easter." Too funny! Well, it was a good try to help her understand the real reason for the season :-) We decided that we might make Monday night Easter baskets a family tradition.
