Chicago

We had been wanting to make a visit to Chicago for quite some time now. We are so glad we finally went! We were grateful to be able to stay with Greg's Aunt Valerie (on his Dad's side). Thank you, Aunt Val! We were able to spend some time with her, as well as see relatives on Greg's mom's side of the family. His Grandma (Nana), Uncle Bill, and mom (who was visiting from Ohio as well). Nana had never met Molly and had last seen Elizabeth when she was 6 months old. Come to think of it, they hadn't ever met Uncle Bill at all. So it was wonderful to have our children really meet their Great Grandma Nana and Great Uncle Bill!

Elizabeth and Aunt Valerie

The whole family - Greg, Me, Nana, Aunt Valerie, Grandma Lassen, Molly and Elizabeth. Unfortunately, we didn't get a shot of Uncle Bill - he was taking the pix.

Elizabeth and Nana (Elizabeth is holding a plastic frog of Aunt Valerie's that she fell in love with. Imagine how excited she was when Aunt Valerie said that she could take it home! She now sleeps with that plastic frog. Can't be that comfy! :-)

Aunt Valerie treated us to a trip to Shedd's Aquarium. What a fun surprise! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Here's Molly loving the fact that we let her out of the stroller!

Elizabeth, Greg, and Molly enthralled with the dolphin show. I must have taken the pix when the dolphins were doing flips in the air - judging from the captivated looks and the big eyes!

One of the other highlights of the trip was taking a trip to a park in Aunt Valerie's neighborhood. Of course it would be something that you could do right at your own home.
