Fun visitors the week after Christmas

We were so glad that some of our family and friends could come visit us after Christmas. My brother, Matt, and his family came up for a few hours one day. We had drawn their name for the Perkins' family gift exchange, so here is a picture of them opening presents.

Then my Aunt Mary, Uncle Rod, and Grandma Gaskell passed by for a couple of hours while driving through - from Michigan to Virginia. Here is Great Grandma Gaskell (Donna Mae) meeting her little namesake, Julia Mae - her 14th great-grandchild!

Elizabeth loved playing with Aunt Mary. She enjoyed showing her the new kitchen that she and Molly got for Christmas from Grandma Lassen and pretending to bake a birthday cake for Grandpa Perkins and Aunt Kristie. (Friday the 28th was my Dad and sister's birthday. Happy Birthday Dad & Little Sis!)

On New Years Day we enjoyed a visit from our good friends and old neighbors, the DeHarts. They moved to Wisconsin and were visiting family in Columbus for the holidays. Thankfully they were able to make it up here for a day. Kaylin and Elizabeth had such a fun time playing together all day. We barely heard a peep out of them! They were best buddies when they lived here, and it was amazing to see them just pick up where they left off 8 months ago. They sure are two peas in a pod!
