Last days of summer

We finally took a trip to Memphis Kiddie Park. Oh my, I can't believe we hadn't gone before. It was great! And perfect for our 4 and under crowd. We'll definitely be frequenting the place a little more next summer. Here is a photo of each of the girls. The only photo I regret not getting was one of Molly on the roller coaster. Elizabeth was laughing so hard she couldn't contain herself, but on Molly's face was a look of pure terror. It was priceless. She looked like she just wanted to get off right then and there. And like she was about to toss her cookies. Upon getting off the ride she declared to have had a good time, though. Oh my, to have caught that face on camera or video tape!

On Labor Day we had our family over for a barbecue. We were glad to have my parents and Greg's mom and sister's family over, but also thrilled that my grandmother and aunt and uncle could come from Michigan for the day. And it happened to be my grandmother's 93rd birthday. So what a party!

My mom made the beautiful butterfly cupcakes with chocolate butterflies on top.

The girls anxious to help Great-Grandma open her presents.

I keep meaning to get a picture of Grandma with all 3 of our girls and it finally happened!

Elizabeth loves her great-grandma!

A cute photo of Elizabeth that my uncle took at the party. (He took quite a few of the photos above - thanks Uncle Rod!)
